SUMMER DATE NEW PICS!!! |

The shows in
Pescara and Porto Sant' Elpidio are now gone! Intense and
funny days with Silence Keeper and Kaos Engine guys..a lot
of beer, food and laughs!!! Saturady 12 started with a very,
very, very hot but fast soundcheck...we were hurrying up for
the dinner!!!
A brutal dinner with RRUSTELLE, pizza and a lot of drinking....maybe
too much :P playing was very hard due to the temperature..and
the gorgeous meat!
Wednesday 18 started in pure Mysia unlucky lifestyle:
daniele couldn't play that night, we were only 4 on stage!
And with a terrible rain during the soundcheck..the risk of
a "wet" gig was very high!
But the night was perfect: great music, a lot of drinks (for
the second time..), and a lot of fun!!!

Marche:

Cafe, Pescara with "MASSIVE NOISE FEST"!!
June 18 will be the time for a " CAZOLA' NIGHT" drunk
party at Chalet Amici, Porto Sant' Elpidio!

The night started,
as usual for Mysia dudes, with troubles: Ale Tombino was
ready to take the very first entire show with Mysia, but
right before leaving for the club informed us has a terrible
stomach ache and fever...impossible for him to take the
stage (and leave the bathroom..ahahaha!) The luckiest way
to join Mysia...isn't it, Ale? :) get back grinding very
soon!
But the night was THE night.
Kaos Engine guys are spectaular, and funnest as their
technical skills! A brutal dinner together and the night
started! The bands made killer shows, the night was
fantastic!
A lot of fun, great music new friends!! Hope to play together soon! Maybe this time with Silence
keeper too! Keep on rottin'!!

 After
a priceless effort during ''No Backwards'' sessions and
various onstage appearances, is time for Mysia to strengthen
the collaboration with Alessandro
''TOMBINO'' Stinziani!
He joined (and joins) a lot of exteme band during the years,
like:
Deadly sins(bass/background
vocals)
Psycho park (bass/background
vocals)
Ciementificio (bass/background
vocals)
Straight opposition (bass/background
vocals)
Putrid Carnage (vocals)
and Blood stained host (vocals).
He started almost two months ago
attending Mysia garage sessions, giving a stunning
contribution to new and older songs joining Simone's screams
with his baritone growl...making the band sure about a
stronger collaboration for the future!!

Another italian webzine talks about 'No Backwards'!
The "vintage" and 70's sound approach this time was
misunderstood, but the original Mysia trademark style as
always reached listener's ears.Some
review's passages:

Another beautiful and interesting review about "no backwards"!
This zine captures all various and melting influences in
Mysia's music and style, the inner musician's attitudes and
the rock-solid old school death metal basis.Some
review's passages:
È di immediata evidenza già dai riffs rocciosi che
aprono la prima traccia, 'Unhinge My Hate', come i brani
siano di chiaro stampo death. Per la verità, il pezzo in
questione, nell’arco dei suoi sette minuti circa, mette in
luce le diverse caratteristiche che compongono il sound dei
Mysia, lasciando spazio anche a parti arpeggiate che fanno
da accompagnamento a clean vocals ed a chitarre vagamente
settantiane. Un brano dunque abbastanza vario e dalla
struttura complessa, che offre anche interessanti spunti di
originalità. Till the rock-solid riffs opening the first
track,'unhinge my hate', the death inner background is loud
and clear. But being clear, in its 7 minutes that song tells
all different characteristics of Mysia's sound, showing
arpeggios joining clean vocals and vaguely 70's guitars. A
complex and almost variegate track, with interesting
original hints.

tuttavia, va precisato che siamo lontani da territori gothic:
la musica dei Mysia resta sicuramente vicina al death
old-school; accoglie, comunque, qualche venatura differente
o qualche influenza nei termini sopra specificati,
consentendo così meglio alla band di delineare un proprio e
personale stile. Female vocals on two tracks, 'red
tears' and 'existence' enriches the band's sound. Avoinding
any misundertanding, we're far from gothic: Mysia's music
remains near old-school deathmetal fields; welcomes
different veins and influences as mentioned to define a
personal and original own style.

E' importante che ci siano gruppi come i Mysia, attenti a
guardare agli sviluppi più interessanti del death metal, e
desiderosi di metterci del proprio. Per gruppi dalla
mentalità così aperta, non ci possono essere limiti
all'evoluzione ed ai risultati. Auguro quindi alla band la
maggior fortuna. Teniamoli d'occhio!
Is remarkable that there are bands like
Mysia, focused on the most interesting death metal
evolutions, and longing to put their personality in the
songs. For so open-minded bands evolutions and results are
unlimited. I wish the band all the best. Look at them!

..i Mysia sono un gruppo
facile da definire ma non altrettanto facile da
schematizzare. Potremmo tagliare la testa al toro dicendo
che i cinque pescaresi suonano death metal di stampo
europeo, con ritmi relativamente posati ed atmosfere
particolarmente plumbee, ma sarebbe semplicistico.I loro
pezzi, infatti, sono molto elaborati e presentano un riffing
spezzato non troppo tradizionalista, dove c'è spazio sia per
arpeggi che per parti vocali melodiche, anche femminili.
Mysia is an easy-to-define band,
but not so easy to put in a precise scheme.We can go whole
hog saying that the five Pescara guys play european
relatively mid-tempo death metal with particularly leaden
atmospheres, but it will be really simplistic. Their songs
are in fact very complex, with a not-so-traditional riffing
with spaces for arpeggios and melodic clean vocals, female
too.

This webzine reviews "no backwards" as a full-lenght album
and not a promo. This evenience on a side makes us happy
because shows that as a promo has the numbers to be "more",
and in the other side is probably the cause that gaves us a
"middle-range" vote. And we know that melting different
genres and influences is as risky as satisfactory..enjoy!

after a long period of studio sessions splitted in almost half a
year, technical problems and songs tune-up, the new work is
defineately here.
Enforced by special guests like Alex Stinziani from Putrid
Carnage who growls a lots of background vocals, Carlo Strappa
from Resurrecturis in "cera vuota" evil riffs, and female vocals
by Betty Fazio, this works tells years of changings,
heterogenous influences and the different burning souls of this
projects.
An "as childish as scary" cover draw by Cristina Paolucci
completes the circle, creating a work that makes us proud.
Promo is now ready to be ditribuited in zines, web magazines and
more others.
It can be also downloaded for free at our homepage or in
Mysia myspace official homepage, obviously for free and with
original artwork package. Enjoy, spread on the web and with your
friends our music!
